Welcome & How to Navigate this Blog!

Hello and Welcome to Graphic Addicts! Your one-stop shop for all things Photoshop related!

If you are viewing this it's likely that you're interested in learning about Photoshop and all the creative freedom that comes with it.

As a college undergraduate student, I quickly realized how vital design is within our lives. There are advertisements and branding all around us. I became fascinated with the idea that I could to create stunning images that could be viewed by a large range of people.

Through a lot of hard work and self-study, I have come to understand the inner workings of photoshop and how to manipulate images to create a show-stopping product.

It has become my mission to pass on the knowledge I have obtained throughout the years onto you. Your product may not exactly turn out like mine - and that's okay! I urge you to take this information with a grain of salt and use it as a resource to better your skills or gain new ones!

How to Navigate this blog

As you may have already noticed this blog is broken up into three main sections.

Articles
This tab is where you will find helpful information that is design related. It will offer a broad range of materials for you to explore that will keep you on the front lines of all things design but all give you some ideas to get the ball rolling when thinking about what exactly you want to design. This tab will also contain leisure content. Check out my most current post about Podcast!

Tutorials
This tab will show all things tutorials! Upon entering college I quickly realized that many tutorials often require a subscription. The tutorials I provide are completely free and will provide step by step instructions to help you improve your skills within photoshop.

Inspiration
So - you want to begin design but don't really know what to create? A design slump (as I call it) happens to the best of us! This tab will help you begin thinking like a designer and provide you with many sources and examples to begin creating your own design process.

Are you interested in learning a particular skill? Let me know in the comments below! Or if you're just along for the ride feel free to subscribe by email!

  2. Having a fellow student who enjoys graphic design (in your particular case, just photoshop) is exciting. Your first post sounds inviting, friendly, and full of potential. It may have been more effective to see an image you created for this first post instead of one from Freepik.

Either way, I'm interested in seeing where your blog goes. If you ever want any design critique or input, let me know. I would be happy be to see your work!

  3. Savannah, it's clear from the layout of your blog that you know a thing or two about graphic design! Not only is it appealing to look at, but it's easily navigable. I also think it was wise to include tabs for both tutorials and inspiration. This helps ensure that your blog caters to aspiring graphic designers as well as photoshop experts looking to start a new project.
